A two-week solo exhibition of the works of Bart Ocket - Baroc Paintings, invited by art studio “de Conciergerie” in Ostend. The exhibition will take place during the Christmas and New Year holidays 2020
Group exhibition in the beautiful Garemijnzaal in the Belfry in the centre of the art city of Bruges, where I was able to present a selection of my paintings together with 10 visual artists.
Even in this corona period we received up to 600 visitors per day !
On Saturday 23d and Sunday 24th of November 2019 we welcome 25 artists and expect more than 2000 visitors in 2 days through a selective invitation. A vernissage takes place on Sunday at 16:30 with live classical music by the trio Les Misérables led by grandmaster Mikhail Bezverkhni, winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition 1976. Some artists will paint live during the performance. The festival takes place at the Korenmarkt in Ghent in the Saint Nicholas Church.
In an organization of Philip Vermeulen, Bart Ocket, with the Ghent artist and photographer Jo Clauwaert, was invited to participate in a two-day pop-up exhibition.
The exhibition took place in a typical house just before the demolition at the Spuikom in Ostend.
Philip Vermeulen (who died far too soon in 2018) had met Bart as a member of the Royal Yacht Club of Ostend, and was also friends with Jo Clauwaert.
